Hey everyone,
I’m currently setting up a new 12V system on my test bench and noticed a strange display issue on my brand new BMV-712.
All screens look great except for the State of Charge (%) screen. Instead of a standard percentage symbol on the right, it lights up an odd “\%!”. At the same time, a lot of other LCD segments seem to be halfway energized. I attached pics of the good screen (batt voltage) and the corrupt looking SoC screen.
The unit is reporting SoC correctly and everything matches what I see over in VictronConnect, so the shunt logic itself seems completely fine. Has anyone seen a brand new BMV display head suffer from this kind of problem right out of the box? I assume this is a hardware defect requiring a swap, but it’s just really odd that it only affects one screen and I wanted to check here first.
Thanks for any insights!
