I have a friend that owns a installation with a conventional “old” Color Control, some MPPT’s a MultiPlus II 8kW and 3 Pylontech 5000 LPF batteries.
The setup works fine for 99% of the time, but sometimes the system switches of, giving a low battery alarm in the alarm-logs, and then switches on immediately again.
As far as I can determine, the batteries are no-where near the Voltage to shut down, at that particular moment, and apparently they ARE not, because the system switches on again immediately, happily supporting the loads…
Is there someone that had comparable problems that had a luminous idea of what the problem could be and, more important, what a solution could be?
I don’t know if this is your issue. Some time back, there was a problem with some cerbos where the system for a fleeting instant signalled low battery voltage for no apparent reason. The issue was solved for some with a software update. For me, the issue suddenly disappeared just as it appeared without a software update. I had automatic updates turned off. I’m now on 3.66 (I think the CCGX can only go up to 3.55) without any issue for months.
On another point , make sure there is no voltage sag (even when the batteries are full) at the moment of low battery.
