Blue Smart IP22 losing BT when connected to batteries

Hi everyone,

I have a Blue Smart IP22 12/15/3 (HQ2204) charger in my boat. It’s connected to two EFB batteries. It has started acting weird, the LEDs are not lighting up and it won’t connect to my phone when connected to my batteries. I have tried both batteries separately, same issue.

When I disconnect the batteries, it will connect to my phone and the state + mode LEDs are blinking. At first ABS and Normal are blinking, when I change mode to Recondition/High it will change state to BULK (still blinking) and then switch back to ABS (still blinking). Without any batteries connected, the app says the output is ~5V 0A.

I have tried resetting and updating the firmware. I have checked the fuses but it’s fine.

For some reason I tried switching it from Charger → Powersupply and I had to reset the charger with PUK for it to reconnect and then it jumped back to charger mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone has a clue? Could someone from Victron look at this? Thanks..

Hi @antonloof

Unfortunately, this sounds like a hardware problem. Given de serial number, there should still be warranty on the product so I would advice you to contact the seller.
