Battery connection problem

Hello,

I am having a problem with this installation, which consists of a 5kVA Multiplus II, an MPPT RS450 and a CERBO GX. The CEGASA battery is a 13.4 kWh lithium battery.

My system is not charging the battery, nor is it discharging it, even if I change the SOC.

What should I do to fix this malfunction?

How does your battery communicate with the GX?
I don’t think your battery is on Victron’s list… or are you using a Smartshunt?
Show me your battery monitor settings in the GX…

Check if there is no fuse or disconnect between the battery and the inverter.

I get that like alarme message

I don’t use a SmartShunt, it is in VictronList, Cerbo GX recognise the batterie “Ultra Ebick 175 CEGASA 13,4 kWh 280 Ah“

Look :

hoping to resolve this issue.

Ok, do you know why I have this alarme please ?

Do you think that a loss of connection between the battery and the system could generate this type of alarm mentioned above ?

It communicate by the CAN BUS type.

@abdel_hak Check the manual which tells you it is an overcharge error protection initiated by the MPPT RS450 and also possible causes. Also check your settings overall.

Hello everyone,
I have checked everything you suggested, and more, but without success.

I suspect that the battery is refusing to charge; it does not want to be charged or discharged.
It discharges in only one case, when I disconnect the mains and the PV and supply a load. At that point, it inevitably starts to discharge.

Another observation: when I measure the voltage at the battery terminals with the system switched off, I get a value of 47.6V. When I switch the inverter and MPPT back on, the voltage is 52.2V.

According to my analysis, the MultiPlus II and the MPPT charger are trying to charge the battery, but since the battery is blocking the charge, the voltage starts to rise until it reaches the absorption voltage value (52.2V). At this point, the inverter activates the absorption indicator and the MPPT simply sends the solar power directly to the load.

My thanks ^^

If you followed these Victron guidelimes and it still does not work you should best seek advice from the battery supplier / manufacturer.

It sounds like the battery is triggering its internal protection. It is unhappy

Check your programming.
