I am investigating a new installation with solar, battery and offgrid functionality along with sufficient capacity to charge an Electric car.
I like the idea of using equipment from the same manufacturer where possible (for compatibility issues), however, the lack of a network-port in both EVCS devices is problematic.
The design of the walls (thick concrete with rebar), garage and other doors (metal) make it impossible to get a reliable wifi signal between where the batteries and equipment will sit and where the car is parked.
Adding a network cable next to the power cable will be easy to achieve.
Are there any plans for an updated EVCS with an option for a wired network for modbusTCP connectivity?
