Could someone with experience set up OMIE purchase prices for ESS-dynamic with Node-RED for me?

Hello everyone,

I recently discovered this community, and I’m asking for help, and I’m happy to pay for it if necessary. The thing is, I have my setup working perfectly with my Ekrano and my MultiPlus-II. I’ve got ESS Dynamic enabled and everything is working fine, including the PVPC purchase price information downloaded from Red Eléctrica. BUT THE OMIE PURCHASE PRICES! I have to enter those manually every day, which is a real pain.

I’m looking into getting Node-RED to do that job, but it’s beyond me and I can’t get it to work. If anyone would be willing to do it for me or guide me through it, I’d be very, very grateful.

Regards.

Have a look at the official integrator program.

Thats where you should start. There is a diverse set of people and skills here, so we don’t, as of yet, encourage resourcing on the forum.

I have done this in the uk and it is fairly simple in node red , for example my code looks like this

and this is more complicated than it needs to be as I refresh tomorrows prices each hour to refresh the prices up to that hour tomorrow. for example at 8pm I update tomorrow up to 8 pm leaving from 8 pm unaffected so they are correct for today

Is this where you get your prices from https://www.omie.es/en/spot-hoy if so I can have a look to see if my code can be adapted

Dave

Hi Dave! Thanks so much for your interest.

The data is on this website Esios Red Eléctrica. It includes both the purchase data, called PVPC, and the sale data, which is listed as PRECIO FINAL DE LA ENERGÍA. There are several ways to access the website or download files. To use the API, you need a token, which you can get from the website in just a few minutes.

My goal is to check the prices every day at 21:00 and feed them into the ESS Dynamic prices. At the moment, the purchase price is p*21 to add taxes, which works perfectly, but I can’t do that for the purchase price because it’s p-X, and X isn’t fixed; it varies. So the only way is to feed the “PRECIO FINAL DE LA ENERGÍA” into ESS Dynamic as my sale price.

Best regards.

In reality, none of what I’m describing would be necessary if someone at VICTRON ENERGY had a light-bulb moment! :thought_balloon::light_bulb:! And, just as the suppliers (all of them purchase prices) appear in the list, they added one more: OMIE PRICE, https://www.omie.es/. If they added that price, we’d have automated selling prices without having to do anything else.

The truth is, I don’t know how to request this small improvement from Victron. It would be great if someone could escalate it or tell me how to suggest the improvement to the relevant department.

Regards.

Sorry for slow reply. I cannot find on the page how and what I need to call to get tomorrows prices. If you can look at the page and give me some idea that would help a lot.

There is a problem with just looking at 21.00 and setting the schedule off that call as will also affect todays schedule from 21.00 onwards which is why i update the schedule for tomorrow 1 hour behind todays time up to 00.00- does that make sense?

I have all the code to update the schedule I just need the array of data to convert and write

Hi Dave,

I’ll give you some information, although my knowledge is very limited. There’s a section on the website for the API with a token; it’s in English. API e·sios Documentation I assume the information we need is in one of those files.

I download it using the Excel option, and in another option manually.

The time isn’t a problem — we can set it to 23:15, and I understand that this would barely affect the current day.

Sorry I can’t give you more specific instructions.

Thanks for your interest.
