I have a MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120 with a Digital Multi Control 200/200A. The DMC is easy to access, but the MultiPlus is difficult to reach. Can I install a VE.Bus splitter behind the DMC so the VE.Bus Smart Dongle and the DMC both connect there, or must the dongle be connected directly at the MultiPlus?

Thank you. A follow-up question: If I use the official Victron RJ45 Splitter behind my Digital Multi Control, I will need to connect the existing VE.Bus cable to the splitter’s male plug with an RJ45 female/female coupler. Is a standard straight-through RJ45 coupler acceptable?
The straight patch cable works to the BT ve bus dongle.
