Hello,i’m having trouble getting 2 150/35 charge controllers up and running they keep tripping my bms{jk 200 bms} i have 48 volt 16 x 320ah eve cells in xiang battery box,2 x victron multiplus2 as independents,i have a 150/35,same as just purchased but bluetooth and a cerbo gx and touch screen. I connected both the new chargers but no solar panels first which tripped bms, i removed one at a time,still tripping, i removed my first one (which is all working fine,and tried the new ones one at a time to set them up still tripping,ive google and used AI ,still can’t stop them tripping. i don’t have another 48 volt supply to set them up at this stage, any suggestions thanks
How are the bms programmed and then how are the charge controllers programmed?
With the jk there is alot in the settings that can cause tripping.
That is odd as it is not charging yet. They should just power up if polarity is correct so you can program them.
I am going to assume then that your system was shut down and now the surge from the inverter precharge are causing the trip?
the tripping is on startup after i have hooked the controllers up,i know the new settings won’t be right but i cant power them up to change settings and network them,my bms is the default for lithium. inverters are off when i start up
Try connecting them with a precharge resistor.
Are you connecting them live?
I wasn’t, but tried just once, plenty of spark, don’t have a precharged resistor, are you talking the inverters or charge controller,as inverters are off when this happens
