#5 error code issue

Hi All.

i have been in the hybrid industry for 5-6 years now and I have worked for a couple of company’s that build BESS units using Victron inverters and hardware. We have recently seen the error #5 code appear on the VRM, this is something that I have never come across before and wanted to know what could be causing it. Our units are 3 phase using 6x 10kva Quattro inverters in parallel. The information is showing

“This problem can occur when the AC wiring of one of the slave units is not connected properly, or not connected at all.”

However we have checked all cabling and everything appears to be correct.

The alarm is only active for around 30 seconds.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
Lewis

Is the error shutting down the system? Auto revolving?

Going to make several broad assumptions like all firmware, programming, wiring etcs checks are done an dusted.

First step work out who has the problem.
You will probably have to do it looking at the leds to identify the unit. It means you have to be there when it happens though. Is it repetitive?

Another step may be, is to check each unit is reading its terminal voltage correctly. (So no voltage reading issues)

Sometimes a simple (not so simple i know) swap the position - physically and software -in the array helps.
