Does the support for Growatt and Solis inverters refer to control via Modbus?
Is there any further information on this? I still have a small Solis S5 to spare, including a network adapter, which supports Modbus.
Hi @towatai , this relates only to Solis inverters that support SunSpec. When I was testing this, the hardware address of the device indicated it was an Espressif chip, possibly something like an ESP32. I imagine we are dealing with a “data logging stick”. I know that earlier versions of this hardware did not support Sunspec. Those are not supported and never will be.
I own an S4 version myself, and it is definitely not supported. I cannot say for sure about the S5.
Similarly for Growatt, it would only apply to Growatt inverters that actually support sunspec.
Is this referring to a Growatt Wi-Fi stick or LAN stick for reading the data, or to a direct connection to the Growatt inverter? I have a Growatt ShineWiFi-X stick. Will that work, and if so, how and where should I add it?
