3.50-22 Node red reset

Just hopped onboard to check out the 3.5xx beta and wanted to briefly comment that the new feature to reset Node Red from the Remote Conslole will truly be a really useful feature.
Has been a hassle on remote locations to fix Node Red config errors and to troubleshoot and start from scratch.
Kudos for this!

You can disable and enable it again in Cerbo settings to get it restarted.
It works for me.

This is not to restart it, this is to reset it to default once you have an issue, you can then reimport your flows and nodes. Was a bit tedious to do this manually before either by reverting venus editions or removing the folders.

Not only tedious but also impossible without physically being there with SD card and reset files which are not for the average user even if you try to give instructions.
… and if the installation you need to reset is on a remote island, as it has been in my case this feature is a god send .

There was a process but required ssh access and flipping versions which would be fun on a desert island. So yes, very helpful.
Thanks for the positive energy

Found this discussion at just the right time!
I couldn’t get rid of a faulty node so was looking at other ways of factory resets.
Updated to the beta, did a reset in the menu, now all good.
A great feature !

Yes indeed. The stale nodes that can not be removed in the intended way now has a hard workaround.
It appears that this is not a fault in Venus OS large or NR per se but rather shortcomings in individual nodes that can trip you up. This feature finally enabled me to troubleshoot and weed out some inconsistent dependencies. Probably used this 20 times in the last few days
Very grateful.

Me too. I’ve eventually found that my victron node red does not like running any nodes that talk to my sonoff switch devices.
At least ten resets just today!
Now I know it’s easy to start again, I’ve been able to test which ones to stay away from
