3.50~11 Node Red unavailable on LAN (port 1881 closed)

After upgrading from 3.50~9 to 3.50~11 it seems I can’t access the Node Red pages anymore over LAN, port 1881 seems closed on the GX device.
Via VRM, it still works.
Did something change or did I miss something ?

@BartChampagne please have a look at the “how to post” topic in the beta root home page. We ask that members don’t post on the change log, but rather create new topics or add to ones that already exist. Please edit the subject as necessary.
Thanks.

I can confirm the same issue.

Hey both, yes I can reproduce the same issue myself. Sorry about this - this wasn’t intended of course!

A few solutions until we’ve fixed this:

  1. Access Node-RED only over VRM

  2. Go back to the latest official version, but then you loose gui-v2.

  3. Disable auto-updates and revert to the Stored backup firmware:

  4. Install the previous beta version using a usb stick; available for download here:
    Index of /feeds/venus/v3.50~9/images

  5. Lastly, it might also be able to make it work by opening that port 1881 on the firewall. Requires logging into ssh. But can’t try that now myself.

Quick update. A new Venus update should be announced soon which contains the relevant fix.

Solved per v3.50~13 which is now available for public testing

I will state, on the record, that I am seriously impressed by the fast feedback on and resolution of this issue.
Very nice work !
Just upgraded from v3.50~9 to v3.50~13 and can confirm that Node Red works normally.
This issue can be closed.

Best regards,
Bart
