I have a low battery alert. I have disconnected the cables from the multiplus 2 and found the output at the lugs is 18.5v. I have unplugged shore power and nothing changed when I plug back in. Anything else I can try to reset it. Had been working prior with no issues.
With a terminal voltage of 18.5V on the cables, the battery (bank) appears empty and therefore needs to be charged.
Have you already set the Multiplus to “Charge”, so that it functions purely as a charger? (With shore power connected.)
Batteries are fully charged. I disconnected the cables at the multi and the lugs measured 18.5v dc
Are you measuring on the multi or the battery cables? Do not have a multi on without a battery connected.
Any updates run recently?
Best to download your config and check it is right for your setup.
Measurements were taken directly from from multi with cables disconnected long enough to verify what I was getting on the distribution, 18.5v
Possibly a blown fuse and another power source or capacitors in the setup? eg turn off all other sources - turn off PV disconnect switch.
Checked everything and then isolated the multiplus. The multiplus dc. Outage out is 18.5.
Can you provide a picture of your equipment?
Then a picture showing where you put the meter probes while testing?
You can’t operate a Multiplus without a battery connected, and it is unclear from your description what voltage is at the battery terminals, and at the fuses, and at any disconnect switches.
Have you checked the MP for any alarm logs?
So the MP2 was bad and sent back under warranty. New one installed and all is good again.
