Hi all,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has experience using a Victron Energy inverter/charger (MultiPlus or Quattro) for a **3-phase, 230 V delta load (230 V line-to-line)** without using a step-up or step-down transformer.

As I understand it, the standard 3-phase configuration for Victron provides a **star (wye) connection**, with approximately **400 V line-to-line and 230 V line-to-neutral**.

Has anyone successfully connected a 230 V line-to-line delta load directly to a Victron 3-phase system? If so, could you please share your experience or any considerations/configuration required?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Not permitted according to the manual. Star is OK.

Wiring Unlimited says, however, that balanced delta loads can be operated in inverter mode, but that this causes problems in pass-through mode.

What should definitely work is downstream inverters.

There are several other posts about the problem.

It can run a delta load.

What is cannot do is connect to a delta grid connection.

> Hello you all, hope you are well. My question is , as three phase victron inverter setup doesn’t run delta, can I run it using a VFD. As a VFD would rectify it first and then creates it’s own three phase output. My idea is running a big 220V MP2 8000va and run that top the single phase input of a VFD. OR run three MP2 5000’s or 3000’s and run those to the phase inputs of the VFD. You see this VFD can do both and create a 3 phase output either way. Best regards, Roel
