My plan is:
- When driving, the two solar panels will help the alternator to charge both batteries
- When camping, the two solar panels will top up the start battery and then the leisure one
I will enable the Engine Shutdown Detection. I guess when driving or when there is enough sun light the Orion TR will detect the charging voltage at the cable (e.g. >14V) and enable the charging of the LFP Leisure battery. However, during engine is in idle, the input voltage from the panel output can drop to below the V-Cutout limit as soon as there is not enough sunlight and because of this will the Orion TR will constantly starting/stoping. That’s why I have the remote on/off switch, to disable the Orion if I rekon there is not enough sunlight.
I would be highly appreciated if you guys can take a look into my diagram and let me know if anything wrong/what would you do differently.
