I am replacing my Digital Multi Control with a Cerbo GX and a GX Touch 50. Everything worked fine with the DMC, but when I remove it and replace it with the Cerbo GX, my Quattro comes on but keeps turning off and on about every 5 seconds.
Besides the difference in price and look, I'm wondering what the functional difference is, between the
Digital Multi Control 200/200A
Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX
Thanks in advance :)
Digital MultiControl 200A GX
Quattro FW 2634497
Using VEConfig or VictronConnect settings I cannot make the 16A current limit "stick" in the settings when I select "overruled by remote" when the Multicontrol is connected.
I have tried different cables and updated the Multiplus firmware.
It functions completely normally when I tried unplugging the Multiplus from the Cerbo but then the above issue happens as soon as it plugged in again
we have a setup with three AC-Inputs on a Quattro: Shore, Genset, and an 230vAC Alternator (3.5kw). the Alternator and Shore Power are switched by a transfer switch on AC-In 2, the Genset is still on AC-In1. Now im using the Interface 1140 to control the Input-Current while using the Alternator. Is there any possibility to enable the associated Assistant "Input Current" (0142) only when the 230v Alternator is running? In the actual setup the Assistant also regulate the current on shore power.
Or its better to put the Genset and Shore on AC-In1 / transfer switch and the Alternator on AC-In 2? And then switching the input current by the DMC between Genset and Shore?
Maybe this is a very special problem...
Approx 1.5kW (theoretical) Solar, 2kW Wind, 3kW from diesel CHP (only when required), 17kWatt.hour battery.
I want to heat water with excess power, so wind-power should be harvested rather than stopped in high winds.
I will be using "ideal" diodes on both charge and discharge sides of each battery pair (24V) to prevent degraded batteries from killing their neighbours.
I've got the cutout dimensions, but I can't find a spec of the metal mounting frame. Is there such a thing? Want to know where to put the screw holes in my CAD drawing of a new panel (to be sent for laser cutting).
So here is my multi control connected up to an old 19xx multiplus which is plugged into the mains. Annoyingly, although it's reading the info correctly from the multiplus, the switch doesn't work. It won't turn on or off remotely at all. It used to work last year though. Thoughts?
I have a MultiPlus 24/3000 (Firmware 469), using a Digital Multi Control to remotely limit the current.
In the past I had no problem switching currents between 5-16 amps. Now however the current limiter is only allowing a maximum of 5 amps. I have tried changing the settings on Shore limit. Turning off "Overruled by remote" does display Ac 1 on the DMC, and does allow me settings over 5 amps. Any settings I try with "Overruled by remote" enabled does limit me to 5 amps, both in "Charger only" and "On" mode.
What could be the cause of this?
Electrician on board today and changed wiring for secondary charger. Should not effect MultiPlus or digital multi control. Ran the boat back to anchor and when arrived 4 lights in left column of digital multi control and inverter on light flashing. Turned switch to off, no change. Turned Multi Plus off and then on, then turned Multi Plus back to on. Inverter working. But no lights on Multi Plus. Not sure if charger working.
