AH setting

I just installed my BMV -712 smart. I have 4 - 6v in series with 235 AH in each. I set the unit to 470 AH and it took it but on the main readout it is reading 240 AH only. I tried to reset but it still shows 240. Doesn't seem right!

470 seems correct for 2s2p configuration.

What are you calling "main readout"? And where are you setting the value?

Hi @Dmay,

4x 6V/235Ah in series = 24V/235Ah

If you put them all in parallel, you'll get 6V/940Ah (Thanks for doing the correct math, Mark)

If you put them in series/parallel (2s2p), you'll get 12V/470Ah.

4x235Ah in parallel is 940Ah, not 470Ah :-)

Not that you would actually wire it that way, as it's only 6V...
