solar panel

Good day, can i let a solar panel unconnected on a roof for a couple of days without damaging it ? i need some time to install my setup before connecting them. Thanks.

Cover bare wires with electrical tape and “DO NOT LET THE RED WHIRE TOUCH THE BLUE WIRE”. Ha

i know that lol i was just wondering if solar cells would be damaged if a let the solar panel exposed on the roof with no load (unplugged) for a few days

No damage just because it is not connected. So no issues in your case.


But technically speaking, there is a slow degradation from exposure to the Sun (no matter if you are using it or not), so don't leave a panel on the roof for years if you are not using it.
