I am just wondering if it is ok to have my Multi-Plus II inverter charger running 24/7 (I'm mainly talking about the inverter part, running off batteries). It's just a small AC load most of the time (lights, fridge, etc), but is this ok to have the inverter running all year round?

yes definitely and independent from the size of the AC load. Unless the AC load goes beyond the limits of the MultiPlus II. You must also ensure that it's properly installed.
Designed and intended to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for a decade or more. Periodic servicing (checking connections, cleaning battery terminals, etc) will usually lead to some managed downtime along the way though :)
