Venus-GX running 2.11 - firmware files not found on detected USB

Hi,

Got my Venus-X with 2.11 firmware and would like to update to latest release.

Formatted an USB stick as FAT32 using W10, and copied latest venus-swu-ccgx.swu file

This is the only one file copied to root.

Venus-GX is showing the message when USB is inserted (USB port close to SD slot)

But when clicking on check update, got the message "no firmware found".

Does 2.11 fw have an issue and prevent from offline updating?

USB should be formatted under which format if not FAT32?

Can you try the update with an SD card instead of the USB?

Hi Guy,

I started using an SD card, but mine is a large capacity one, and is not even recognized at mounting.

I successfully updated to 2.22 by going online, but this offline fw update process seems very critical as far as adequate media are concerned.

which media max size? which kind of formatting/block allocation, for SD and USB ?

I have had good success with 8GB FAT32 MicroSD cards.

In the USB port, I have had good success with a 'dumb' USB to microSD card adapter, using the same MicroSD card.
