Can I update SmartSolar firmware with the Mac OSX app, or only mobile?

I see I can upload a firmware file via the OSX app for my SmartSolar MPPT + Bluetooth, but where do I get that firmware file?
Or, can I only update the firmware connecting with the iOS/Android app?

Firmware updates are included in VictronConnect.

Ah, I see the problem. My macbook at the solar site is old, and only can run El Capitan, 10.11.x

Looks like 5.8 is the latest I can run, per https://www.victronenergy.com/support-and-downloads/software - so I'm assuming that old version isn't seeing new firmwares.

Guess I'll just connect w/ my phone next time I am out there to update it..

Firmware files are available separately in Victron Professional.

As you already know, the current release firmware is already included in the latest VictronConnect.
