Simultaneous MPPT and Fronius doesn't use all the PV to charge the batteries

Hello,

Here is the configuration of Quattro 48/8000:

Fronius Inverter (7kW) on OUT1

MPPT (4kW) through DC-BOX on Pylontech Lithium batt

it runs under ESS Optimized (without BatteryLife).

I don't understand why the Fronius energy doesn't go to charge the battery ... here the problem :

1570W into the grid instead of charging battery...

how can we correct this behaviour ?

I can give you more details if necessary.

Best regards,

Emmanuel

Hi @khaem,

Please update the version of VE.Configure used to program the unit. This should also update the assistants.

Then update the assistants used in this system. There was an improvement made, and this might resolve the issue.

Note that this can be done remotely using Remote VE.Configure.

It may not, and something else may need adjustment - but it's a good place to start.

@khaem,

Did you make the change, or any other?

What is the situation?

Hello ;)

I have tried your solution: I upgraded the ESS assistant and everything goes well.

Thank you a lot !

For the matching curve : it's perfectly normal.

I have connected all the charge of the house to a LifeDomus domotic system the manage every little charge.

During the day, it give priority at loads and turn them off or on following the fronium and mppt power level.

I just see that it works well ;) I don't think there is an error...

Thank you again.

Best regards.

Emmanuel

I just had a look at the VRM data for the site;

Something else caught my attention:

It is quite unusual for the AC consumption to so perfectly match the PV inverter yield. Is there any possibility that the Fronius is wired into the AC input, and configured as connected to the AC output on the GX device?

A quick way to check is to adjust the location of the PV inverter in the GX device menu from output to input, and see what happens then.

How many Pylontech battery modules do you have?
Maybe the charging current is limited by the battery?!

10 Pylontech Lithium batt so 22kWh power

charge/load limitation are at 250A ... it's ok ;)

problem is solved by upgrading ESS version.
