Feature Request - VRM App Push Notifications

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible for the VRM app or even Victron connect to alert a user of alarms that have been set up as an alternative to the email alerts?

Some users have email but they never check them so are often unaware of events on their systems.

Hi @Alexandra,

This is an often demanded feature, it is definitely on the development roadmap, and its turn is approaching.

There are some implications due to how push notifications are handled across platforms which means it is not a straight forward easy thing to turn on (and have it perform consistently for everyone on iOS, Android, Windows and Apple Mac).

We will get there though.

Hi All in this thread - beta testing is now available - https://community.victronenergy.com/questions/167898/push-notifications-beta-testing.html

Internal testing is done, we have some additional tools to help manage them to build, but still expect a release shortly - pending a successful test.

I look forward to this feature becoming available as I am usually in locations with no data service and cannot receive email. The alarm buzzer and led alarm are not ideal.
