question regarding placement of the Lithium should there be a space Air gap around each battery any min requirement ?
Yes, there is a gap, battery manual should give you the spacing. My EMS manual says “ If multiple ESMs are installed, a certain clearance should be reserved so at least 5 U is
required for each ESM. The ESMs cannot be directly stacked, vertically placed, or laid on
1U in 19. “ rack terms is 1.75 inch or about 44.5 mm. So min space for EMS Battery is 222 mm.
are you talking about a complete lithium battery (assembly)? In which case, there might be an explicit clearance requirement from the battery manufacturer.
If you're talking about lithium cells, you might have to figure that one out, based on needing to securing the cells against movement and removing heat from the cells due to charge/discharge.
