Why does Smartsolar report Yield in watt hours and BMV reports Consumed Ah?

my Smartsolar reports daily solar yield in watt hours. My BMV-712 reports Consumed Ah. It Would make sense to me use the same unit. Yes?

Hi @crankshaw

I guess it's a history thing: batteries are better measured in Ah as the Wh changes a lot depending on the charge / discharge voltage. Solar is commonly measured in Wh.

(I think people will be shocked when they see how much Wh is lost charging / discharging a Lead-acid battery.)

In the 'history' tab you can see charged / discharged kWh in the BMV 700 series.
