Quattro's UPS function dose not work, we have often Power cut because of this.

Hi everybody

we have often power cut when Quattro switchs from battery to generator. It takes about 3 to 5 min till the Power current comes back. it happens 2 or 3 times a week.

we have had since the first configuratin , per VE configure software, the UPS function in submenu Grid enabled. but it does not work properly.

we have a 3-phase system with Quattro 24v/5000VA/120.

Could anybody help us please to solve this issue?

hi, does this problem occur when the grid fails and it is switching over to genset? or does it happen when the unit goes from Inverter to mains?

Hi

IT happens when Unit switchs from Inverter to Main.

Hi N. This may not be related to the UPS thingy. If you haven't already, try ticking the 'Dynamic current limiter' in the General tab. It's a sort of a 'soft-start' for switching in an ac supply, and may work for you?..

Are you getting is VE.Bus Errors or Inverter Alarms when this happens?
Sounds like the inverter is tripping.

Hi @Nazari,

I know this is an old question now, but it was recently brought back to top of the list.

The UPS feature is intended to provide a fast change-over from grid or generator supplied power, to battery inverter supplied power.

It is not intended to provide an instant change over from battery inverter supplied power to grid or generator supplied power, which takes some time to synchronise the waveforms. The supply in this case can still be un-interrupted, but only if there is sufficient battery power while that sync happens.

To get the behaviour that you want, try bringing in the generator or grid supply BEFORE the battery is exhausted, that should provide a continuous supply to the AC output, as the generator/grid is brought in and then drops out again.

To maintain a continuous supply, there must be sufficient energy left in the battery.
