BlueSolar connected while charging batteries from generator

Hi,

I have a BlueSolar connected to a single solar panel charging a battery array. On cloudy days, I have a generator which I would like to use to charge the batteries if they get low.

Can I charge the batteries from the generator while they are still connected to the BlueSolar regulator or should I disconnect the regulator first?

Thanks

Ian

Hi,

I have a similar setup but I have one more question if I may.

Configuration:

- Bluesolar 150/35 operating in 24v

- 4 batteries in parallel to get 24v

- 8.2kw generator that pushes out 220v.

What do you use to control the charge from the generator to the batteries given the voltage differential and so that the generator gets disconnected once the batteries are full?

Thank you.
