best software to collect controller data and send to vrm for linux

Hi! I have a Victron BlueSolar 75/15 MPPT Charge Controller. I can get data using my iphone via bluetooth, and in the past I have used VenusOS on RPI to collect data and send to VRM.

Is there an easy way to collect the data using a Linux VM instead of RPI? I am running proxmox on an intel single board computer. I do not need any ui/dashboard/interface, I just want something that can collect data using the ve direct usb cable and relay it up to VRM.

I ended up just using venusOS on pizero 2w, but would still love to run this as a VM on intel hypervisor. All of the VenosOS solutions I've seen so far appear to be for ARM based chips, am I missing something to run venusOS as VM on intel?
