Orion smart 12v /24v

Pleased with the orion..put in 8vto 23v wind turbines...lock to minimum 8v...and hey out comes 26/28 volts into my 24v battery banks...i would like to know what do i lose...watts amps..there has to be a loss...could someone please explain the conversion process...cheers

You don't say which model you have, but efficiency is in the downloadable data sheet. You'll probably find it is inth the region of 95%.
