Remote Fan on Multiplus 12/2000

Hi there,

if've seen that there are assistants, to remote control an external fan when the multiplus' internal fan is runnig. That's what I want to do.

my question is:

is it possible to wire a 12V DC fan directely to the multiplus relay? If so, how much Amperes maximum load could it have?

...i think a "small" computer fan, approx. 5W / 0.5A will do the job.

Thanks for your help.

No, these are dry contacts. They do not supply any power to a load, they can only switch small loads.
The fan that you propose to use will be fine, but you'll have to provide power for the fan from somewhere.

You should be fine. According to the Datasheet the Programmable Relays are rated at:

DC rating: 4A up to 35VDC, 1A up to 60VDC

Remember you need two assistants. One to turn it on and another to turn it off.
