Multi RS Solar Inverter Charger Controller - input voltage + amps from Array

Hi , so we have a solar array of 5 x LG300N1C-B3 (300 watt) panels in series giving us 32 V x 5 = 160 volts (and 9.4 amps) . Please can you confirm if the Multi RS Solar (inverter charger controller) will be able to handle this - in terms of its charge controller ? Many thanks ! - We assume that it will as the voltage range for the mppt is said to be 80 - 450 volts and the max amps is 18 A . Thanks !

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

Yes, that's fine.

For reference, you should pay attention to the Voc of the panels which is 39.8V and the Isc which is 9.98A. These are the maximum ratings to take into account, which is important so as not to excees the 450V maximum and 18A maximum.
So 5 modules in series results in a Voc of 199V @ 25°C - which is absolutely fine for your array and 9.98A is also fine.
I'm just mentioning this in case you decide to expand your array at some point in time.

Thanks wkirby - that is a useful clarification - much appreciated .

And yes ! We do plan to expand the system - possibly with up to 18 extra panels (circa 300 watts each) - in an array about 35 metres behind the inverter location .

We would use a separate charge controller for this .

Would we have to use the 'Smartsolar MPPT RS' for this (as suggested by the data sheet diagram) ?

or could we use any solar charger (as long as it met with the arrays voltage and Amps maximums) ... e,g, the Victron 250 60 ?

Many thanks again !

You can use a 250/60 if you like, or more than one of those.
You can use pretty much any Victron charge controller which meets the array and battery Voltage requirements.
