Raspberry Pi 4 version 1.4 images

Since there is currently no support for rpi 4 v 1.4 I post the latest original venus-os images with kernel v. 5.10.95-v7l+ and a folder with all overlay files from this kernel compile

EDIT

Updated with venus-os image for Pi-4b-V1.4

Hello, thanks for the great work!

Is there a way to change this VenusOS image to SSD boot?

If so, what would I have to change for it?

Or can you make a changed SSD-boot Image without using a sdcard ?

Thank you ..

@Hundefreund02

It is certainly possible, but it involves possible change of firmware and some manual configuration. I do not think it has anything to do with venus-os image, except that perhaps some required tools are missing.

I also do not see the necessity of this with venus-os

Hi Johnny,

Is it possible to get a copy of your files 2.82, please?

Unfortunately, I own RPi4 v1.4 and official Venus os doesn`t work on it.

I've tried those new 2.90 on your disk, but it stops booting at the beginning (after 4raspberries image on the screen).

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Unless someone else have a copy of working Venus os on RPi 4 1.4 and could share.

Cheers ;)

@IgorVanlife

Looks like I've cleaned up a little too much.

v2.90-8 image boot fine on all my 1.5 boards, but have not tested them on v1.4 boards, so it is probably a change in the latest kernel or u-boot.

Found a 2.82-30 large image and restored it to google disk.

Thank you for the fast reply!

It is my second day playing with RPI and I see it will be the hard one ;)

I`m still struggling to have it running. After start, I get root@raspberrypi4:~# command and that's all. So now I need to dig and learn as can`t go any further...

@IgorVanlife

You can connect to venus-os with your browser if you use wired network

http: //venus.local/

You will not get anything else on the screen that is connected to pi if you do not delete the headless file first and reboot

rm /etc/venus/headless

to create the hedless file again

touch /etc/venus/headless

If you use a wireless network, you need to configure the wifi network with the phone victron-connect app.

on normal pi os, a clone for sd to ssd is enough to work.

on venos os i never tried, because venus is using most of time readonly, it doesn't destroy sd card fast.

Hi...@johnny-brusevold Newbie here. Just got a RPI 4 8G and trying Venus OS ......(the only one available in Sweden now).

Found out that there is no official Venus OS for that now but came across this thread.

I have burnt the image on my sd card and gets this on my screen....

Should I do anything more?

/Mattias
