EM24: 250mA fuse for neutral connection

Hello,

for a planned grid-connected PV system with a MultiPlus 2 I am about to install the EM24 Ethernet after the official energy meter.

Now I just found in the EM24 manual, that a 250mA fuse is necessary in the connection to the neutral wire.

I found almost no information about this fuse? What kind of fuse do you normally use that fits on a DIN rail with only 250mA?

Or does nobody use a fuse for the EM24?

Best regards David

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

My sparky thought fusing the negative wire was very odd. We ended up with a 5amp fuse on the negative wire (din).

Use a standard 10x38mm 250mA fuse. DIN fuse holders are common for this type of fuse too.
The fuse has to go on the neutral to protect the innards of the meter from fire if a fault develops inside of it.
You can't put a 250mA fuse in the line conductor because your loads which go through this conductor are expected to be more than 250mA.
