Reminds one of the old Australian saying "Flat out like a lizard drinking". You're working the staff too hard..
All staff accounted for, apparently he just walked right past parameter security.
Glad he wasn't hurt. He may well have been looking for the security's eggs? And he may have fed already.
Magnificent critters. They fear nothing, although their young may be targeted by feral foxes & cats. Seem to be getting rarer, a shame. I once watched a sizeable one walk through a group of 20-odd burly Pacific-Islander farm workers lunching on a park lawn. They scattered, but he was neither after them nor their lunch, he was just 'going somewhere', and didn't deviate.
Commonly called a 'Goanna' here, and purported to not share territory with snakes. :)
