Smart Blue Solar 100/50 producing half power for last 2 days

Hi all

over the last 2 days my Smart Blue Solar has started to produce half what it normally does.

Over the last week of good weather our Max Yield has been consistently over 1100w and 77v

yesterday and today 560w but still 77.9v

I noticed also the ESS was on, not by me as we are a ship and battery set to defaults not Traction as before.

I first Array which is very simular oin specs is working as expected, the only difference is the 100/50 is not the smart type as its 3 years old

Can anyone shed any light on what could be wrong with Array 2, the smart blue solar 100/50

many thanks as always

Chris

Hi Chris, we would need some screen dumps of the live readout and history page on both units as this would give us something to go by.

batterys full or near full and one array is keeping it topped up

bad connections on the array

wrong settings

bad connections from the charger to the battery,

Also try turning the other unit off and see if the smart solar output increases back up

Hi Paul, thank you for the quick response

I will cycle the other unit now, just a thought though, It may have to do with the firmware update I did a few days ago, not sure if anyone else has had any issues

1000w array

Any ideas?

The 1200W is showing a battery voltage minimum of 0V, do you know why that might be?

Also seeing charge times half that of the other array?

Can you isolate the panel strings into the 1200W, ie only allow half of the array and see if the power halves evenly for both sides independently.

Hi Guy. Thank you for answering. Not easy to change the panels as they are in series/ parralell . This all started to happen after firmware change from v3.7 to v3.9

v3.9

The 0v is what alerted me in the first place and the fact when I started to use power on the boat the MPPT did not up the amps as it would normally do when close to maximum battery charge.

Is it possible to to go back to older firmware v3.7? Is it advisable?

Or can you remote on to the system to have a look?

Please show the screen shots in smart power mppt controller

the live screen and the history

Use the victron connect app to display this on your phone or tablet
