Multiple Venus devices

Is it possible to have multiple Venus devices, and if so, how should they be interconnected? For logistical reasons, The Venus device neweds to be co-located with the chargers, inverters, MPPTs, etc in the equipment space of my boat. Yet I want the user display elsewhere. Can I wire the VE.bus, VE.Direct, and VE.can to a venus device proximate to the other hardware, then locate a CCGX somewhere else for display and control? I am not interested in control via a phone. That's an interesting trick, but not suitable for running a boat.

Venus devices cannot be interconnected.

To have the display separate to the Venus-device is a common request in lots of applications.

For now the numerous remote connectivity options with an external third party display remain the best solution in my opinion. Though we are also working on more sophisticated remote configurations.

Depending on your requirements, the upcoming glass bridge functionality might be suitable, and is specifically designed for running a boat.

There are many ways to achieve what you are trying to do, there was considerable discussion recently here:

Thanks. It sounds like you understand the requirement.

- Venus (with or without display) located where the equipment and wiring live.

- Display-only located where the people live.

I think this is the requirement in every system I have done, and other product lines are built to do this.

It's just regular old TCP/IP if you want to remote your display... no need to use a phone on the other end. Hard-wire the Venus device to an ethernet network, plug in a computer on the other end (tablet, laptop, phone, whatever), and bring up the display there.

There are other, fancier options you can rig up yourself if you want to take a more technical route. But everything runs on either TCP or N2K at the end of the day no matter what.
