IP22 strange behaviour

Hi all, just installed an ip22 30a 3 output charger. Turned it on and the readings are all over the place. Amps are varying from 0-30 rapidly. I’m seeing 1.2 amps . 7 amps and every other number between. A multimeter shows the charge voltage fluctuating as well. Is this normal behaviour? How can I test?

Make sure there's no loose connections, and do a tug test on all crimps.

Hello, make sure that your are not in reconditionnig mode.

Night mode, means current is limited to 15A in bulk state

Bulk is the first current charging mode, where current is limited to 30A or 15A depending of the battery you charge. Choose 15A current for battery capacities from 50Ah to 100Ah choose 30A for battery capacities of 100Ah or more. This phase ends when battery voltage reaches the absorption voltage (14.4V) or is time limited by setup.

Absorption mode charges the battery with constant voltage (14.4 V) controlling the charging current which decreases as the battery get charged. Absorption phase will end when current is lower than the "tail current" or by time limit (8h).

Recondition mode starts when selected and increases the voltage (16.2V or 16.5V or according custom setup) while a limited current is flowing in the battery to partially restore a deeply discharged and sulfated battery (dont use to much this feature because of gasing occurs during this phase).

Recondition ends by voltage or time limit setup.

Foat mode takes place after absorption/recondition phase and the charger voltage is reduced to Float voltage (13.8V) to end the charging phase.

Storage mode supplies the battery with a reduced constant voltage (13.2V) and is not time limited to ensure battery remains fully charged.

note: Recondition and float phase or optional and can be disabled
