After installation with the switch in CHR position, the charger does not start after connection to the shorepowergrid. All leds were off. After disconnecting shorepower, and the switch to ON the inverter started. After this the charger also worked. However, the problem is now back: charging is okay but inverter refufes to start. All LEDs off and plenty battery power. Is this a product failure or installation issue ?
Hi J. Difficult to diagnose faults remotely, but let's say your unit has a dicky yellow led (can happen).
All switched ON. With shorepower connected the unit would charge normally (confirm), and the inverter wouldn't run. It's not meant to then, the ac loads are covered by shore.
Remove the shore and the inverter should kick in to cover ac loads.
Assuming here that you don't have another batt charger (like pv) paralleled in and overwhelming the Multi charger. (I don't know what it's charge led should show then).
Does this scenario fit?
After removing shore power, the inverter does NOT start. There is a PV charger but very small.

Maybe delve to dip-switches and troubleshooting. You may see something that rings a bell.
